Drain 0

Drain 0 is the initial Drain that starts your treatment. Drain
0 does not count toward your total ultrafiltration (UF) for
the entire treatment unless the 'Add diurnal UF' option was
set to YES (see page 86).

All Drain screens

The "Drain" screen displays a graph to track your Drain
progress. As your cycler drains you, the fluid level in the
cup will rise.
You will continue to drain until the fluid level rises to the
black line. This black line is your expected drain volume.
This is based on your prescription.
Ultrafiltration is the excess fluid that is removed during
your drain. The graph will show the fluid level rise past the
black line. Any ultrafiltration is shown in orange above the
black line on the cup.
When the Drain is complete, your cycler will either begin
to fill you with fresh dialysate or end your treatment. If
you are ending your exchanges with a Drain and this is the
last Drain of your treatment, then turn to "Ending
Treatment" on page 154. For Fills, see the Fill explanation
on the next page.

Warning: Do not bypass Drain 0 unless you
have discussed your treatment program with your
doctor, practitioner or PD nurse. For information
on bypassing an exchange, see page 186.
Note: If you are a positional drainer you may need
to change your body position throughout your
treatment. Discuss this further with your PD nurse.
Note: If you need to stop the draining process,
press the STOP key. The pump will stop and the
"Draining Stopped" screen will be displayed.
Draining will resume when you press the OK key.
