DURING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
·
Wear a grounding strap when you deal with static-sensitive components. Always make
certain that the clip is attached to a properly grounded, unpainted surface.
·
Use a portable grounding mat if you cannot repair components at an ESD-protected
workstation. (Kodak's Customer Equipment Services Division can assist you in setting up
ESD-protected workstations.)
·
Use protective packaging when you transport components from one area to another.
Transparent anti static bags, available from a variety of manufactures, shield your
just-repaired components from further damage.
