• Turn the refrigerator off and remove all items. Leave the drip tray
under the cooling fins.
• Shorten defrost time by using trays of warm water. Do not use a
heating gun, hair dryer or sharp objects to remove frost as these
can damage the interior or cooling unit.
• Wash the interior using mild spray cleansers or a solution of
liquid dish detergent and warm water. Do not use scouring pads
or abrasive cleansers as these can damage the interior finish.
• Rinse with a solution of baking soda and water. Dry with a
clean cloth.
• Lock the doors open.
CAUTION: When defrosting, do not use a hot air blower.
Permanent damage could result to plastic parts. Do not use a
knife, ice pick or any other sharp instrument to remove ice from
the freezer as they can puncture the system.
The Bay Freezer will operate on 120 Volt AC or 12 Volt DC. The freezer
can operate from shore power, generator or the inverter. The 12 Volt DC power
is supplied from the house batteries.
When both AC and DC power sources are available, the freezer will
automatically operate from 120 Volt AC. When AC power discontinues, the
freezer will automatically switch to DC operation.
NOTE: Battery voltage is important. If house battery is low,
less than 10.7 Volts DC, a decline in cooling efficiency will
result. To conserve house battery power, turn off the freezer
when not in use.
Thermostat Control:
• 0 = OFF.
• The green power indicator lamp illuminates
when the freezer is ON.
• The thermostat controls the temperature.
Number 1 (refrigerate) is cool, number 5
(freeze) is the coldest setting. Adjust the
thermostat control knob according to the
types of food stored and ambient temperature.
Power Consumption:
AC = .80 Amp
DC = 3.1 Amps
