To prime the fuel system:
1. Turn the ignition key on. Do Not attempt to start the engine. The
Power indicator lamp on the filter control panel should illuminate.
2. Remove the dust cap from the Schrader valve. Simultaneously
press the AIR PURGE button while holding the Schrader valve
open with finger or object. The purge cycle will last about one
minute. Stand clear as fuel will spray.
3. After fuel appears in pre-filter bowl, initiate an additional purge
cycle. This should enable the engine to start.
4. Install the dust cap to the Schrader valve. Start and operate the
engine at high idle for about 3 minutes. If the engine fails to readily
start, initiate one or two additional purge cycles.
NOTE: The engine may run rough for a short period until all
remaining air, if any, is forced through the fuel system.
NOTE: It is normal for the pre-filter bowl not to be full of fuel while
the engine is running.
