Configuring QSFP+ Ports

1. Display the current port mode for the QSFP+ ports.     
2. Change the port mode to 40GbE. Select the physical port number.  
3. Verify the change.     
4. Reset the switch.

QSFP+ ports support both 10GbE and 40GbE, as shown in Table

QSFP+ ports are available only when Upgrade 1 is installed (see "Configuring Port 
Modes" on page
158). 
The following procedure allows you to change the QSFP+ port mode. 
CN 4093# show boot qsfp-port-modes
QSFP ports booted configuration:
Port EXT3, EXT4, EXT5, EXT6 - 10G Mode
Port EXT7, EXT8, EXT9, EXT10 - 10G Mode
QSFP ports saved configuration:
Port EXT3, EXT4, EXT5, EXT6 - 10G Mode
Port EXT7, EXT8, EXT9, EXT10 - 10G Mode
CN 4093(config)# boot qsfp-40Gports ext3
CN 4093# show boot qsfp-port-modes
QSFP ports booted configuration:
Port EXT3, EXT4, EXT5, EXT6 - 10G Mode
Port EXT7, EXT8, EXT9, EXT10 - 10G Mode
QSFP ports saved configuration:
Port EXT3 - 40G Mode
Port EXT7, EXT8, EXT9, EXT10 - 10G Mode
CN 4093(config)# reload
Remove the configured port from QSFP+ mode to reset the ports to 10GbE mode. 
CN 4093(config)# no boot qsfp-40Gports ext3
