Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Step
7 CHECK FUEL TANK CORD.
1) Disconnect the connector from fuel pump
assembly.
2) Measure the resistance between the fuel
pump assembly and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(R59) No. 2 — Chassis ground:
8 CHECK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR.
1) Remove the fuel pump assembly. <Ref. to
FU(H4DOTC)-63, Fuel Pump.>
2) Measure the resistance between the fuel
level sensor and terminals with its float set to
the full position.
Terminals
No. 3 — No. 2:
9 CHECK FUEL SUB LEVEL SENSOR.
1) Remove the fuel sub level sensor. <Ref. to
FU(H4DOTC)-66, Fuel Sub Level Sensor.>
2) Measure the resistance between the fuel
sub level sensor and terminals with its float set
to the full position.
Terminals
No. 1 — No. 2:
Check
Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more? Go to step 8.
Is the resistance between 0.5
— 2.5 Ω?
Is the resistance between 0.5
— 2.5 Ω?
