In the DC position, all frequency components of the
input signal are coupled to the vertical deflection and
signal acquisition systems.

V ARiahle VOLTS/DIV (VAR) Controls
The V ARiable VOL TS/DIV (VAR) controls provide continu-
ously variable deflection factors between the calibrated
positions of the VOL TS/DIV controls.
Pushing the lower part of a VAR volts/division control
switch sets the VOL TS/DIV to the UNCALibrated status and
reduces the vertical sensitivity. The sensitivity reduction
range is suficient to overlap the next VOL TS/DIV position.
Pushing the upper part of a VAR volts/division control
switch increases the vertical sensitivity up to the calibrated
value of the VOL TS/DIV switch.
Pushing both the VAR switches simultaneously, will result
in restoring the calibrated status.
The uncalibrated condition is indicated in the readout by a
greater-than symbol ("
> ")
in front of the VOL TS/DIV
readout concerned.
®
Band-Width Limit Switch
With theBandwidth Limit Switches you may select the
bandwidth to be reduced to 10 MHz.
In the 2 m V /DIV position, the vertical bandwidth is re-
duced to approximately 10 MHz.
The bandwidth limit is indicated by "BL" in the crt readout.
Selecting the Bandwidth Limit (BWL) in one channel may
slightly detoriate the full bandwidth capability of the other
unlimited channel.
