Non-Storage Examples
Step 4.
Connect the reference signal to the CH 1 OR X input and
the comparison signal to the CH 2 ORY input.
Step 5.
Toggle the Vertical MODE switch to either ALT or CHOP
mode, depending on the frequency of the input signals.
Step 6.
Set both VOL TS/DIV switches for a 4- or 5-division dis-
play.
Step 7.
Adjust the Trigger LEVEL control for a stable display.
Step 8.
Set the SEC/DIV switch to a sweep speed which provides
three or more divisions of horizontal separation between
the reference points on the two displays. Center the
displays vertically (see Figure 4-7).
Step 9.
Set Cursors ON/Off switch to ON.
Step 10
Toggle the !:iVl/!:iVZ/!:iT/1/!:iT switch to the !:iT position.
Observe that two vertical cursors appear on the crt screen.
Step 11. Position the cursors to similar reference points (such as
leading edges) on the two signal displays.
Step 12. You can read the time difference from the crt readout.
