Non-Storage Examples
Step 3.
Set the appropriate VOL TS/DIV switch to display more
than five divisions of the waveform.
Step 4.
Adjust the Trigger LEVEL to obtain a stable display.
Step
5.
Adjust the VARiable VOL TS/DIV control so that the
reference waveform is exactly five divisions peak-to-peak.
Step 6.
Set Cursors ON/OFF switch to ON.
Step
7.
Toggle the AV1/t...V2/AT/1/AT switch to the AVl position.
Observe that two horizontal cursors appear on the crt
screen.
Step 8.
Place one cursor at the top and one at the bottom of the
reference waveform using the Cursor POSITION and the
TOGGLE CURSOR control. The cursors must be exactly
five divisions apart ("Ratio 100%" will appear in the crt
readout).
Step 9.
Remove the reference signal and apply the signal to be
measured to the same input connector. DO NOT change
the VOL TS/DIV or V ARiable VOL TS/DIV setting.
Step 10. Align one cursor with the top of the waveform and the
other cursor with the bottom of the waveform (see Figure
4-2).
Step 11. You can read the RA TIO between the test signal and the
reference signal on the crt readout.
