7.4.3 Connecting the Sparger to the Gas Supply

The sparger must be connected to the gas supply on the basic unit
after sterilisation. Proceed as follows:
1. Cut off piece of thick-walled silicone hose.
The hose must be long enough to reach from the sparger to
the gas supply on the basic unit without tension or kinks.
2. Fit the silicone hose to the hose nozzle below the rotameter
and secure it with a cable tie.
3. Remove the aluminium foil from the inlet air filter.
4.
Plug the end of the hose onto the inlet air filter.
5. Open the clamp on the sparger hose line.
