7.2.5 Connecting the Reagent Bottles to the Pumps and Vessels

A detailed description how to calibrate a pump can be found in the
separate touch screen software manual from the equipment manu-
facturer.
To connect the reagent bottles to the pumps and the vessels, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. Fit the hose connectors onto the pump hoses and secure
them with cable ties.
2.
Cut off two longer pieces of silicone hoses per pump.
The hoses must be long enough to reach from the pumps to
the reagent bottles and to the addition port adapters of the
vessel top plate, respectively to the antifoam sensor in the
vessel without tension or kinks.
3. Thoroughly rinse the hoses with distilled water.
4. Fill the bottles up to the required amount with corrective rea-
gent and refit the lid.
5. Clearly label the reagent bottles according to their contents.
6.
Fit two silicone hoses to the two needles (see picture on the
left) on the reagent bottle.
7.
Secure the silicone hoses with cable ties.
