10.5 Interferences Antifoam or Level Sensor and Antifoam Pump

Interference
Foam/medium is not detected.
Possible cause
Sensor is not properly connected.
Interference
Foam/medium is always/frequently detected.
Possible cause
Sheathing of sensor is damaged.
Interference
Antifoam pump does not work.
Possible cause
Parameter Antifoam is not activated. Activate the parameter.
Dosing time of parameter Antifoam =
0 (zero).
Remedy
No antifoam agent or medium supply or inadequate flow.
Possible cause
Reagent bottle is empty.
Wrong antifoam agent or incorrect
concentration.
Hose line blocked or clamped.
Antifoam pump does not work.
The pump hose is damaged.
Incorrect hose type connected.

Remedy
Check connections and connect properly as neces-
sary.
Remedy
Have the sheathing of the sensor replaced.
Remedy
Set dosing time > 0.
Remedy
Refill if necessary.
Replace if necessary.
Check the hose connection between the reagent
bottle and the culture vessel: If necessary, connect
them correctly.
Open/remove hose clamps if necessary.
Check operation using the rocker switch.
Replace pump head.
Replace if necessary.
