6.4 Connecting the Operating panel to the Basic Unit

The power supply cable is already connected to the controller in-
side the basic unit. During initial operation, the power supply cable
only needs to be plugged into the DC socket on the operating
panel.
Details of the connections to the operating panel are given in the
subchapter "Operating panel connections" of the main chapter
"Setup and Function".
The flat connector of the iDDC bus cable (display cable) is already
connected to the controller inside the basic unit. It is imperative
that the round connector is plugged into the COM1 socket on the
operating panel.
CAUTION!
Risk of damage to the touch screen operating
unit due to faulty cable connection!
The touch screen operating unit may get damaged,
if the round connector of the iDDC-bus cable is
plugged into the COM2 socket instead of the
COM1 socket on the operating unit.
Therefore:
– Plug the round connector of the iDDC-bus cable
(display cable) only into the COM1 socket on
the operating unit!
