7. If ARs on-board are left, the system displays an error window, describing where it found
reagent bottles. Remove the bottles, then click Inventory again.
When the system confirms that all reagents have been removed, it displays a
confirmation message that the ARs were successfully removed.
8. Click Done.
The system displays the Logoff/Shutdown screen again and enables the Shutdown
button.
Note: The Logoff/Shutdown button will not be enabled if Sample Racks are on-
board the analyzer. Refer to "Unloading Sample Racks" on page 3-12 for
directions.

Emptying Waste Containers

An operator can empty the waste containers before shutdown independent of Lower Bay
inventory procedures.
Note: Using the emptying waste feature invalidates the Lower Bay inventory; the waste
containers will need to be emptied again during Lower Bay inventory. More samples cannot
be run before the Lower Bay inventory is valid. The waste containers do not have to be
emptied before shutting down.
To empty the waste containers before shutdown:
1. Click Empty Waste... on the Logoff/Shutdown screen.
The system displays a confirmation dialog box warning that the Lower Bay inventory will
be invalid.
Note: If the Lower Bay inventory is invalid because the waste has been emptied
through the Logoff/Shutdown screen, the last known test count can be recalled
using the Fluid Details window (see "Replacing Depleted Fluids" on page 2-10).
2. Click OK.
3. Follow the instructions in "Emptying Waste Containers" on page 2-15 to empty the waste
containers.
4. Click Done.
The system displays the Logoff/Shutdown screen.
