LIS File Export Formats

LIS files are comma or tab-delimited files containing a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) at the
end. The CRC can be used by middleware or laboratory information systems to ensure that the
file has not been altered.
If using language-specific installation (other than English) of PROCLEIX
Software, some values of the LIS output fields are translated. Contact Novartis Diagnostics
Technical Service for further information.
All tubes are reported in the file, including calibrators and invalids, with each line except the last
containing the data for one tube. The last line in the file contains the literal characters "[end]"
followed by an 8-digit CRC. There are no characters following the CRC—not even a line feed.
The CRC is always the last 8 characters in the file.
File structure (example):
<Data for tube 1>
<Data for tube 2>
.....
<Data for last tube>
