Check the wheel cylinder Jor leakage.
Check the brake linings for cracking, glazing, wear
and contamination,
Measure the brake lining thickness.
Brake Lining Thicknoss:
Sisndard:
/1.0 mm (0.157 in)
Service Limit: 2.0 mm (0.08 in)
NOTE: Measurement does not include brake shoe
thickness,

limit, replace the brake shoes as a set
Check the bearings in the hub unit for smooth oper-
ation. lf defective, refer to section 18.

M e a s u r e t h e i n s i d e d i a m e t e r o f t h e b r a k e d r u m
using the inside vernier calipers,
Drum lnside Diamet€r:
Standard:
199.9 - 200.0 mm (7.870 - 7.874 in)
Servics Limh: 201.0 mm (7.913 in)
lf the inside diameter of the brake drum is more
than service limit, replace the brake drum.

cracks.
