Reverse ldler Gear
Parking Brake Stop
Installation
1. Install the reverse idler gear.
Install the reverse idler gear shaft holder and needle
bearing into the transmission housing. then tighten
the bolts.

Inspection/Adjustment
Set the parking brake lever in the E posrrron.
M e a s u r e t h e d i s t a n c e b e t w e e n t h e p a r k i n g b r a k e
pawl shaft and the parking brake lever roller pin as
STANDARD: 72.9 - 73.9 mm (2.87 - 2.91 inl

PAWL SHAFT
lf the measurement is out of tolerance, selecl and
install the appropriate parking brake stop from the
table below.

PARKING BRAKE STOP
After replacing the parking brake stop. make sure
the distance is within tolerance.
