Spring-loaded Lock Connector
Some SRS system connectors have a spring-loaded lock.
Disconnecting
To release the lock, pull the spring-loaded sleeve toward
the stop while holding the opposite half of the connector.
Then pull the connector halves apart.
N O T E : B e s u r e t o p u l l o n t h e s l e e v e a n d n o t o n t h e
connector half.

Connecting
1. Hold the pawl-side connector half, and press on the
back of the sleeve,side connector half in the direction
shown. As the two connector halves are pressed
together, the sleeve is pushed back by the pawl.
NOTE: Do not touch the sleeve.
When the connector halves are completely connected.
the pawl is released, and the spring loaded sleeve
locks the connector.

Spring-loaded Lock Connector with
Built-in Short Contact
The driver's airbag (and front passenger.s) airbag has
( h a v e ) a s p r i n g - l o a d e d l o c k c o n n e c t o r w i t h a b u i l t - i n
short contact. When this connector is disconnected. the
p o w e r t e r m i n a l a n d t h e g r o u n d t e r m i n a l i n t h e a i r b a g
connector are automatically shorted.
