Compressor {cont'd)
Connect the backprobe adapters to the st6cking patch cords, and
connect the cords to a multimeter. Using the wire insulation as a
guide tor the contoured tip of the backprobe adapter, gently slide
the tip into the connector from the wire side until itcomes in con-
tact with the terminal end of the wire {see section 11).
Check for an op6n in the wire:
1. Reconnect the ,a/C pressure
swilch 2P connector, then turn
the ignition switch ON {ll).
2. Using a *Backprobe Set {T/N
07SAZ - 001000A), measure
the voltage between the No. 5
terminal ol the EcM,rrPcM con-
n e c t o r C { 3 1 P ) a n d b o d y
ground with the ECM,PCM con-
nectors connected.
Ropair opon in the wire between
the A/C oresure switch and the
ECM/PCM.
ls there battery voltage?
Check lor loos6 wires or poor
c o n n e c t i o n s a t t h e E C M / P C M
connectors A {32P} and C 131Pl. It
the connec,tions are good, substi-
tute a known-good ECM/PCM,
and recheck. lf the symptom/
indication goes away, replace
the oriqinal ECM/PCM.
