The following product-specific terms and abbreviations are
used in this manual:
Meaning
Input or output provides 0 V (also LOW, FALSE or logical 0)
Input or output provides 24 V (also HIGH, TRUE or logical 1)
A displacement encoder with fixed (absolute) assignment of measurement
values (position, angle, etc.) and measurement units
The entire collection of all modules and cables connected to the CMIX axis
connection
Provides the connection to specific fieldbuses. Transmit control signals to
the connected modules and monitor their functioning (as CPX module:
CPX bus node)
Collective term for the various modules integrated in the CPX terminal
Complete system consisting of CPX modules with or without pneumatics
In this manual, the term "drive" represents linear drives (DGCI, DDLI,
DGP), standard cylinders, positioning drives (DNC, DNCI, DDPC, DNCM) or
swivel modules (DSMI)
Digital input
From the point of view of the master control system, the CMIX status
outputs are module input data, see section 3.3
Digital inputs and outputs
A path measuring system in which the measurement variable refers to a
reference point and is determined by counting equally large measurement
steps (increments)
Digital output
From the point of view of the master control system, the CMIX control
inputs are module output data, see section 3.3
