Electrical installation

2.5.1 Earthing

The CMIX power supply is provided via the CPX terminal;
see section 2.6.
The CMIX earthing is provided via the CPX terminal; see the
CPX system description.
Observe the additional earthing measures described below,
depending on the components used.
Note
Functional faults can occur through incorrect or missing
earthing.
Connect the specified earth connections at low impe-

dance (short cable with large cross-section) to the earth
potential.
Unless otherwise specified, the earthing conductors must
have:
– a cable cross-section of at least 2.5 mm
– a cable length as short as possible (typically 20 ... 30 cm).
Sensor interface earthing
When using a sensor interface:
Make a low-ohm connection between the earthing con-

nection of the sensor interface and the earth potential of
the CPX terminal.
