Set-Up Procedures (Cont.)
Digital Display Module-
Two additional levels of "advanced" set-up
features are available.
The first advanced level, S S E E T T 2 2 , is used to
adjust communication related parameters.
CAUTION:
Communication parameters are factory set and
should not be changed. These instructions are
provided for programming replacement modules.
Changing Communication Parameters
A A D D D D R R (network address)
A network address uniquely identifies each
digital display module in the alarm panel.
Address range is 0 0 to 2 2 5 5 5 5 .
For TotalAlert 2 alarm panels, this setting is
programmed at the factory when the alarm
panel is assembled and should not be
changed.
B B A A U U D D (baud rate)
Used to set communication speed. User
choices are 4 4 8 8 0 0 0 0 or 9 9 6 6 0 0 0 0 .
Baud rate must be set to 9 9 6 6 0 0 0 0 . for
TotalAlert 2 alarm panels.
N N D D F F (network data format)
Defines data word length. Choices are 8 8
(bits) or 1 1 6 6 (bits). NDF must be set to 1 1 6 6
for TotalAlert 2 alarm panels.
P P D D F F (pressure data format)
Defines data word length transmitted to a
slave alarm panel. User choices are 8 8
(bits) or 1 1 6 6 (bits). Factory setting is 1 1 6 6 .
