Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)
Protocol used to send data streams between
two devices. TCP guarantees reliable and in
order data from sender to receiver.
User Datagram Protocol (UDP)
Protocol used to send short messages between
computers. UDP does not guarantee reliable
transmission (packets may be lost, duplicated or
out of order), but is faster and more efficient
than TCP.
