Hardware installation scenarios for a NetBackup 5330 high availability configuration
The two NetBackup 5330 nodes connect directly to the NetBackup 5330 Primary

Storage Shelf.
Currently, you can deploy a NetBackup 5330 HA configuration through either of
the following methods:
New deployment for an HA configuration
■
Converting existing systems to an HA configuration
■
The hardware installation scenarios are different for the two deployment methods.

The installation procedures for a new deployment of a NetBackup 5330 high
availability (HA) configuration are as follows:
1. Install the components from the bottom of the rack in the following order: the
Expansion Storage Shelves, the Primary Storage Shelf, and then the two nodes.

2. Connect the Expansion Storage shelves to the Primary Storage Shelf.
