1. Expansion Storage Shelf (if installed)
If more than one expansion shelf is installed, turn on the shelf furthest from

the primary shelf first.
Turn on the expansion shelf that is connected to the shelf that you turned
■
on.
Continue in this manner until you turn on the last expansion shelf.
2. Primary Storage Shelf
Turn on the Primary Storage Shelf after the expansion shelves are operational.
3. NetBackup 5330 compute node
For a high availability (HA) configuration, turn on the compute node that is
closest to the primary shelf, and then turn on the other node.
To turn on the components and verify operation

Verify that the following cables are connected properly and securely:
Data and network cables on the compute node

Fibre Channel (FC) cables between the compute node and the primary
■
shelf
SAS cables between the primary shelf and the expansion shelf
■
Power cords from each component to the appropriate Power Distribution
■
Unit (PDU) in the rack

On the rear of the expansion shelf, turn on both power switches.
