How to select the target type to acquire

You can set the radar to acquire on TT targets, or both
AIS and TT targets. To select the target type to acquire,
do the following:
1. Open the menu.
2. Select [5 TT•AIS].
3. Select [2 ACQUISITION ZONE].
4. Select [3 TARGET TYPE TO ACQUIRE].
5. Select [TT AND AIS] or [TT ONLY] as appropriate.
6. Close the menu.

How to change the acquisition zone reference

The acquisition zone can be referenced to heading or North using the following pro-
cedure:
1. Open the menu.
2. Select [5 TT•AIS].
3. Select [2 ACQUISITION ZONE].
4. Select [4 AZ STABILIZATION].
5. Select [STAB HDG] to reference heading, or [STAB NORTH] to reference North,
then press the ENTER MARK key.
6. Close the menu.

How to set acquisition zone shape and stabilization

The shape of the No. 2 acquisition zone can be a sector or a polygon having up to 10
points. (The shape of the No.1 acquisition zone is always a sector.)
1. Open the menu.
2. Select [5 TT•AIS].
3. Select [2 ACQUISITION ZONE].
4. Select [5 AZ POLYGON].
5. Select the appropriate setting, then push the ADJUST knob.

6. Close the menu.
