Possible Cause / Action

Action: Check the interfacing priorities.
Cause: The string sent to the instrument
could not be decoded properly or command
does not exist.
Action: Check the syntax of the commands.
Check if buffer is over flow (maximum 100
characters).
Cause: Instrument out of level.
Action: Check if the instrument is set up and
levelled properly.
Cause:
• Insufficient or uneven lighting on the staff.
• Incorrect setup of the staff
(inverted/upright).
• The staff could be out of the telescope
field of view.
• The instrument may not be properly
focused onto the staff.
Action: Check and focus onto the staff with
optimum lighting. Ensure that the staff is set
up in its correct position.
