To add a new entry, enter the appropriate information and click Apply.

System Log

This window is used to view the Switch's history log, as compiled by the Switch's management agent.
To view this window, click System Configuration > System Log Configuration > System Log, as shown below:
The Switch can record event information in its own logs, to designated SNMP trap receiving stations, and to the PC
connected to the console manager. Click > to go to the next page of the System Log window. Click the Clear Log
button to clear the Switch History Log. Click the Clear Attack Log button to clear only the attack log entries without
clearing other log entries.

This drop-down menu allows you to select the level of messages that will be sent. The options
are Emergency, Alert, Critical, Error, Warning, Notice, Informational, and Debug.
Some of the operating system daemons and processes have been assigned Facility values.
Processes and daemons that have not been explicitly assigned a Facility may use any of the
"local use" facilities or they may use the "user-level" Facility. Those Facilities that have been
designated are shown in the following: Bold font indicates the facility values that the Switch is
currently employing.
