SysLog Configuration
The System Log provides the system administrator ES8508 events history. There are two System Log modes
provided by the ES8508, Local mode and Remote mode.

When enabling Local or Both modes, you can monitor the system logs in the Monitor and Diag /Event Log
page.

There are two system logs available:
•
Local Mode: The ES8508 prints the events that have been
selected in the Event Selection page to the System Log table of
the ES8508. You can monitor the system logs in the Monitor
and Diag /Event Log page.

Remote Mode: Assign the IP address of the System Log server.
The ES8508 sends the events that occurred in the selected in
Event Selection page to System Log server that you assign.
•
Both: This enables both Local and Remote modes.
The IP address of the System log server.
Click Apply to apply the settings.
Note: You must Save the settings
maintain these settings if the ES8508 is powered off.
