802.1x Configuration

IEEE 802.1x is the protocol that performs authentication to obtain access to IEEE 802 LANs. It is port-base
network access control. With the function, the ES8508 could control which connection is available or not.

RADIUS is an authentication server that provides a key for authentication. When
you use this method, you must connect the switch to the server. If you select Local
for the authentication method, the switch uses the local user database that can be
created in this page for authentication.
The IP address of the RADIUS server.
The password used to communicate between the ES8508 and the RADIUS Server.
The UDP port of the RADIUS server.
The port for packets that contains the account login or logout information.
You can set a Secondary RADIUS Server, if the primary RADIUS server goes down.
The password used to communicate between the ES8508 and the secondary
RADIUS Server.
The UDP port of the secondary RADIUS server.
The port for packets that contains the account login or logout information for the
secondary server.
