Modem Status, Customization, and Reset Commands
Configure Software on Card feature
This command is used to enable and configure the TRU-Install
(Software on Card (SWoC)) feature, which allows the modem to start up
as a mass-storage device when it is first used in a host device.
Note: This command is only available if a valid SWoC image is present in
the module's flash memory.
Using this command, you can provision the modem with software to be
installed on first use. You can disable the feature to have the modem
function as a modem from that point on.
You can also use the AT!SWOCMODE command on
between modem mode and mass-storage mode.
Usage:
AT!NVSWOC? returns the current <config> setting
AT!NVSWOC=<config> sets the current SWoC configuration
Parameters:
<config> – Bitmap value representing SWoC configuration options
Bit 0—Disable (0) or enable (1) TRU-Install. If enabled, the modem will
boot in mass-storage mode on a cold-boot (always) or on a soft-reboot
(if Bit 1 is enabled).
Bit 1—Disable (0) or enable (1) TRU-Install 'bypass on soft-reboot'. If
enabled, the modem will soft-reboot in modem mode.
Summary:
0 = Disable TRU-Install
1 = Enable TRU-Install, and disable bypass on soft-reboot.
2 = Undefined
3 = Enable TRU-Install and enable bypass on soft-reboot
Note: <config> = 1 is the 'typical' behavior.
