Option Boards

Your server's expansion capabilities meet the needs of file and application servers for high
performance I/O by providing a combination of PCI expansion slots. This section describes how to
install and remove the PCI option boards.
The I/O expansion slots in your server are located on the system board. The system board has two
100 MHz and one 133 MHz PCI connector slots that accommodate 64 bit PCI cards and three 33
MHz PCI connector slots that accommodate 32 bit PCI cards.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure to touch the metal frame of the server to discharge static
electricity from your body before handling the PCI board. Do not touch the
PCI board terminals or on-board parts by a bare hand or place the PCI
board directly on the desk. For details, see the section "Anti-static
Measures".
