(2) Adjusting the acceleration/deceleration time
Measure the acceleration/deceleration waveform using the spindle drive unit's D/A output function,
and confirm that it is within ±15% of the theoretical acceleration/deceleration time. Refer to "5-1
Spindle drive unit D/A output specifications" for details on the D/A output function.
1) When acceleration/deceleration times do not match theoretical values (Error is 15% or
more)
The motor shaft conversion load GD
acceleration/deceleration time may be incorrect. Check the load GD
If the acceleration time is long and the deceleration time is short, the frictional torque may be
large. Check the load meter value (Spindle Monitor screen) at the maximum speed. If the load
is10% or more, the frictional torque may be relatively high. There may be mechanical friction
such as bearing friction or timing belt friction. After running in the machine, measure the
acceleration/deceleration time again.
If the acceleration/deceleration times do not match even when the above problems are not
present, the spindle motor and spindle drive unit may not be the designated products, or one
of the parameter settings may be incorrect. Check the spindle motor and spindle drive unit
types, and check the spindle parameter settings again.
2) When the acceleration time is no problem, but the deceleration time: td is much larger
than the acceleration time: ta. (td<0.95xta, 1.1xta<td)
Adjust SP087 and SP088 to adjust the deceleration time. Adjust SP087 with the following
procedures.
