ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING
SUB–OXYGEN SENSOR (CALIFORNIA
ONLY)
SUB–OXYGEN SENSOR INSPECTION
1.
(a) Cancel the diagnostic trouble code. (See TR section)
(b) Warm up the engine until it reaches normal operating

circuit. If the circuit is normal, replace the sub –oxygen sen-

INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF SUB–OXYGEN
SENSOR
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between termi-
nals +B and HT.
Resistance:
11.7–14.3 W at 20 C (68 F)
If resistance is not as specified, replace the sub–oxygen sen-
sor.
