Service Limit : 20.040 mm (0.7890 in)
I f the conrad small end bore insi d e d i ameter exceeds the
l i mit, replace conra d .

Wear on the big e n d o f the conrad can b e estim ated by
checking the movement of the small end of the rod . This
method can also check the extent of wear on the conrad ' s
b i g end .

Push the big end of the conrad to one side a n d measure the
side clearance with a thickness gauge.

Standard : 0 . 1 0 - 0. 5 5 mm (0.004 - 0 . 022 in)
Service Limit : 1 . 0 m m (0.04 in)

Where the limit is exceeded , replace cran kshaft assembly
or reduce the deflection and the side clearance to within the
l i mit by replacing the worn pa rts - conrad , big end bearig
and crank pin etc .
CRANKSHAFT R U N O U T
Support the crankshaft with " V " blocks as shown, with the
two end journals resting on the blocks .

Position the dial gauge, as shown, and rotate the crankshaft
slowly to read the runout.
Correct or replace the crankshaft if the runout is greater than
the l imit.
Service Limit : 0.05 mm (0 .002 in)
