FORK OIL
• Place the front fork vertically with full compressed position .
Pou r fork oil u ntil its flow from the hole CD on inner rod
•
as shown in the illustration, and then pour fork oil to the
inner tube.
For the fork oil, be sure to use a front fork oil whose vis­
•
cosity rating m eets specifications below.
Fork oil type: Fork oil SS-05
99000-99001 -SS5 : Fork oil SS-05
Capacity (each leg) : 54 1 ml ( 1 8.3/ 1 9 . 0 US/imp oz)
Cover the inner tube with pal m , and move the inner tube
•
up and down 3 or 4 times.
Hold the front fork vertical and adjust the fork oil level with
•
the special too l .
Oil level : 1 44 m m ( 5 . 7 in)

NO TE:
When ad justing the oil level, remove the fork spring and com­
press the inner tube fullV.
FORK SPRING
I n stall the fork spring as shown in the photograp h .

NO TE:
Close-pitch end of spring should position bottom.
