Engage the chain on the cam sproc ket with the locati n g
p i n hole CD t w o o 'clock position .
NO TE:
Do not ro tate the magneto ro tor while doing this. When the
sprocket is not positioned correctly, turn the sprocket. When
installing the camshaft into the cam sprocket, pay a ttention
•
not to dislodge the loca ting pin or it may fall in to the
crankcase.
•
Align the engraved line m ark @ on the camshaft so it i s
parallel with the surface o f t h e cylinder head .
•

Fit the lock washer
pin.
Apply THREAD LOCK S U PER "
et bolts a n d tighten them to the specified torq u e .
99000-32030 : THREAD LOCK S U P E R " 1 303"
•
Tightening torque : 1 4 - 1 6 N ·m
( 1 .4 - 1 . 6 kg-m, 1 0 . 0 - 1 1 . 5 Ib-ft)
Bend u p the washer tonque positively to lock the bolts .
•
Apply SUZUKI M O LY PASTE to the camshaft journals and
cam faces .
99000-25 1 40 : SUZUKI MOLY PASTE
•
CYLI N D E R H EA D COVER
•
Thoro u g h l y wipe off oil from the fitting surfaces of
•
cyl inder head a n d cover.
Fit the two dowel pins to the cyl inder head .

U niformly apply S U Z U K I B O N D N o . 1 20 7 B/ 1 2 1 5 to the
:
cyl inder head cover surface.
