Cargo Area Light Test/Replacement
1. Open the hatch.
2. Carefully pry out the cargo area light (A).
Cargo Area Light: 5 W

3. Disconnect the 2P connector (8) from the light.
4. Check for continuity between the No.1
(+)
and
No.2 (-) terminals. There should be continuity.
If there is no continuity, check the bulb. If the bulb
is OK, replace the cargo area light.
Hatch Latch Switch Test
1. Open the hatch.

2. Remove the hatch lower trim panel (see page 20-
53).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the hatch
latch (8).

4. Check for continuity between the No.1 and No.2
terminals.
• There should be continuity with the hatch open.
• There should be no continuity with the hatch
closed.
5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the
hatch latch.
