5.3.11.3 Advanced Profile Miscellaneous Configuration

Advanced Profile Configuration
Refer to the advanced profile's Miscellaneous menu item to set the profile's NAS configuration. The profile database on
the RADIUS server consists of user profiles for each connected network access server (NAS) port. Each profile is matched
to a username representing a physical port. When the wireless controller authorizes users, it queries the user profile
database using a username representative of the physical NAS port making the connection.

Miscellaneous
2. Set a
NAS-Identifier Attribute
This is the RADIUS NAS-Identifier attribute that typically identifies the access point where a RADIUS message
originates.
3. Set a
NAS-Port-Id Attribute
This is the RADIUS NAS port ID attribute which identifies the port where a RADIUS message originates.
4. Select the
Turn on LEDs
such as hospitals prefer to keep their wireless devices from having illuminating LEDs, as they have been reported to
disturb their patients. this setting, however, is enabled by default.
5. Select the
Capable
device as being capable of being the RF Domain manager for a particular RF Domain. The default value is enabled. The
RF Domain manager can support up to 24 access point of the same model. An AP-7131 or AP-6532 RF Domain Manager
can support up to 512 client connections. An AP-6511 or AP-6521 RF Domain Manager can support up to 256 client
connections.
6. Select the
Priority
managed device. Once enabled, use the spinner control to set a device priority between 1 - 10,000. The higher the
number set, the higher the priority in the RF Domain manager election process. the RF Domain Manager can support
from the Advanced Profile's menu item.
