13.3.24 Captive Portal

Access Point Statistics
A captive portal forces a HTTP client to use a special Web page for authentication before using the Internet. A captive
portal turns a Web browser into a client authenticator. This is done by intercepting packets regardless of the address or
port, until the user opens a browser and tries to access the Internet. At that time, the browser is redirected to a Web page.
To view the captive portal statistics of an access point:
1. Select the

Displays the MAC address of the wireless client.
Displays the IP address of the requesting wireless client.
Displays the IP address of the captive portal page.
Displays the authentication status of the requesting wireless client.
Displays the name of the access point WLAN utilizing the captive portal.
Displays the name of the access point VLAN the requesting client will use for
access point interoperation.
Displays the time after which the client is disconnected from the captive
portal hosted Internet.
