FUEL INJECTOR
With the ignition on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, probe the Fuel Injector
Control circuit.
With the DRB III , actuate the Fuel Injector Kill.
Does the test light blink?
Yes >> Replace the Fuel Injector. (Refer to 14 - FUEL SYSTEM/
FUEL INJECTION/FUEL INJECTOR - REMOVAL).
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - VER 2.
No >> Go To 11

FUEL INJECTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Note: Check connectors — Clean/repair as necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Fuel Injector Control circuit at the Fuel
Injector harness connector.
Is the voltage below 1.0 volt?
Yes >> Go To 12
No >> Repair the Fuel Injector Control circuit for a short to volt-
age.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - VER 2.

FUEL INJECTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Fuel Injector Control
circuit.
Is the resistance above 100 kohms?
Yes >> Go To 13
No >> Repair the Fuel Injector Control circuit for a short to
ground.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - VER 2.
