 NOTE: Steps 1-9 in the preceding sub-section must
precede this procedure.
10. Loosen the clamp securing the coolant hose to the
union; then detach the hose.
11. Remove the two nuts securing the cylinder to the
crankcase.
12. Lift the cylinder off the crankcase taking care not to
allow the piston to drop against the crankcase.
Account for the gasket and two alignment pins.

When removing the cylinder, be sure to support the pis-
ton to prevent damage to the crankcase and piston.
13. Using an awl, remove one piston-pin circlip.

14. Using the Piston Pin Puller, remove the piston pin.
Account for the opposite-side circlip. Remove the
piston.

 NOTE: It is advisable to remove the opposite-side
circlip prior to using the puller.
