Check procedures/corrective measures
Clean the drum or, if it is flawed, replace the drum unit (see page 1-6-38).
Clean the contact glass.
Replace the drum unit (see page 1-6-38).
Clean the drum separation claws.
Clean the heat roller separation claws.
Causes
1. Scanner moves erratically.
2. Deformed press roller.
3. Paper conveying section drive problem.
Check procedures/corrective measures
Check if there is any foreign matter on the front and rear scanner rails. If
any, remove it.
Replace the press roller (see page 1-6-45).
Check the gears and belts and, if necessary, grease them.
Causes
1. Misadjusted leading edge registration.
2. Misadjusted scanner leading edge registration.
Check procedures/corrective measures
Readjust the leading edge registration (see page 1-6-16).
Readjust the scanner leading edge registration (see page 1-6-35).
