Step 6. Remove the air baffle (see "Removing the air baffle" on page 147).
Step 7. Remove the fan cage assembly (see "Removing the fan cage assembly" on page 149).
Step 8. Slide the drives in bay 1 and bay 2 forward slightly toward the front of the server. It is not
necessary to remove these drives.
Step 9. Disconnect the control-panel assembly cable from the system board, noting the routing of the cable
(see "System-board internal connectors" on page 136 for the location of the front panel connector).
Step 10. Locate the control-panel assembly release latch.
Step 11. Press down the release latch of the control-panel assembly and pull the assembly toward the rear
of the server. After you pull the assembly out approximately halfway, start turning it downward
and pull it out of the chassis.
