Troubleshooting the M320 FPCs

If the
LED on one or more of the power supplies (or the corresponding
OUTPUT OK
LED on the craft interface) is not lit, check the power supply fans to see if
POWER OK
they are operating.
If all power supplies have failed, the system temperature might have exceeded the
threshold, causing the system to shut down.
If the display on the craft interface lists only one fan failure and the other fans are
functioning normally, the fan is probably faulty and you need to replace the fan tray,
as described in "Replacing an M320 Fan Tray" on page 153.

Replacing the M320 Cooling System Components
As soon as an FPC is seated in an operating M320 router, the Routing Engine downloads
the FPC software to it. The FPC then runs diagnostics and enables the PICs housed on
it. During this time, the green LED labeled

check the status of the FPC and the PICs that are plugged into it.
Make sure the FPC is properly seated in the midplane. Check that each ejector handle
has been turned clockwise and is tight. Use a screwdriver to check that the screws
inside the ejector handles are tight.
To check the status of an FPC, use the following CLI command:
user@host> show chassis fpc
