Using USB Interface

This section explains the setup procedure when using the printer with a USB connection.
Preparation
Install the required files by referring to
Connect your Macintosh and the printer using a USB cable.
Limitation
Mac OS is compatible with the standard USB port only.

Open the [AdobePS Component] folder on the hard disk.

Double-click [Desktop Printer Utility].

Select [AdobePS] in [With:] and [Printer (USB)] in [Create Desktop], and then click [OK].

Click [Change] under [PostScript

Select the connected printer's PPD file, and then click [Select].

Click [Change] in [USB Printer Selection].

Select the model you are using in [Select a USB Printer:], and then click [OK].

Click [Create].
The following message appears.

Enter the printer name, and then click [Save].

Specify the location where the file is to be saved, and the name, and then click [Save].
The printer icon appears on the desktop.
