Creating the Server Certificate (Certificate Issued by a Certificate Authority)
Using Web Image Monitor in Administrator mode, create the server certificate.
This procedure is used for a certificate issued by a certificate authority.

Open a Web browser.

Enter "http://(machine's-address)/" in the address bar to access the printer.

Select Administrator mode.

"Access in Administrator Mode", Administrator Reference.

Click [Configuration], click [Security], and then click [Certificates].
The [Certificate Information] page appears.

Click [Request].
The [Certificate Information] page appears.

Make the necessary settings.

Click [OK].
The [SSL Certificate] page appears.
[Requesting] appears under [Certificate Status].

❒ Click [Cancel Request] to cancel the request for the server certificate.

Apply to the certificate authority for the server certificate.
The application procedure depends on the certificate authority. For details,
contact the certificate authority.
When applying, use the data created with Web Image Monitor.
Note
❒ Using Web Image Monitor, you can create the contents of the server certifi-
cate but you cannot send the application.
