LOWER UNIT
ASSEMBLY ANO INSTALLATION-140 (COUNTER ROTATION)
Pinion Nut
Apply Nut Lock to threads of pinion nut. Thread nut onto
driveshaft. DO NOT turn shaft to install nut. Then tighten nut
to specified torque.
~ Pinion nut: 120 N·m (12 kg-m; 86.8 lb-ft)

Propeller Shaft Assembly
1. Slide clutch dog shifter
(2)
onto propeller shaft

NOTE:
• For correct installation the side of the clutch dog shifter
which must tace towards reverse gear is marked with the
letter "R. E. V".
2. lnsert connector pin @ into propeller shaft.
3. Align holes in clutch dog shifter
(2)
and connector pin@,
then slide dog pin© through them.
4. lnstall dog spring @, ensuring that it fits snugly into
groove on clutch dog shifter.
5. lnstall the spacer @ to propeller shaft.
