REMOVAL ANO DISASSEMBLY-140 (COUNTER ROTATION)
Propeller Shaft Components
1. Slide propeller shaft away from forward gear

and bear­
ing housing assembly

2. Remove the forward gear @, forward gear thrust bearing
@,
forward gear thrust washer @, forward gear back-up
shim@.
3. Remove the propeller shaft thrust washer

from propeller shaft bearing housing.
4. To disassemble propeller shaft components, refer to the
following:
(a) Remove horizontal slider (fj) and spacer@.
(b) Remove the spring@) from the clutch dog shifter.
5. Using drift punch, push dog pin @ out of clutch dog
shifter.
