REMOVAL ANO DISASSEMBLY -90/115
15. Remove pinion gear

Remove forward gear ~ (with
thrust washer@, backup shim@ and bearing
@).
16. Remove three bolts

securing shift cam housing, then
remove shift cam housing ~- Account for dowel pins.
Propeller Shaft Components
1. Slide propeller shaft away from reverse gear@ and bear­
ing housing assembly G). Account for reverse gear
backup shim ~ and reverse gear thrust washer @.
2. Remove horizontal slider @ and forward gear thrust
washer@.
3. Remove spring

from clutch dog shifter.
4. Using drift punch, push dog pin
@
out of clutch dog
shifter.
